"Third Wave" coffee focused coffee consumption onto the "experience" of coffee. So, the drink became consistently "good" (distinct) through fancy brewing techniques. And, also, the location and its atmosphere became like an epiphenomenal production of coffee's value, further distinguishing a broader "experience" of "good" coffee. So really, as long as the coffee's good, it's all about the vibes, dude.
